WEIGHTAGE OF CHAPTERS OF PHYSICS CLASS 11 TH in NEET :

  1. Units and dimensions: There is 1 question from this chapter every year and according to
    recent trends analysis there are 3 questions from this chapter in the NEET examination.
  1. Motion in a straight line: This chapter holds 2 questions weightage in the neet paper.
  2. Motion in a plane: This chapter holds 2 questions in the NEET paper and there were no
    questions are given in the 2016 and 2020 neet papers from this chapter but in 2021, and 2022 the weightage again reached to 2 questions.
  3. Laws of motion: The weightage of this chapter in the past year’s neet paper is about 2-3
    questions but in a recent neet paper, the weightage decreased to 1 question.
  4. Work, energy, and power: This chapter holds about 2-4 questions. So most of the numerical
    based questions are given from this chapter.
  5. System of particles and rotational motion: This chapter holds weightage of 3 questions and is
    most important chapter.
  6. Gravitation: This chapter’s weightage is 2 questions.
  7. Mechanical properties of solids: This chapter holds the least weightage so most probably there
    will be no question or 1 question from this chapter.
  8. Mechanical properties of fluids: This chapter weightage is 2 questions.
  9. Thermal properties of matter: This chapter weightage is 1-2 questions.
  10. Kinetic Theory: This chapter’s weightage is 1-2 questions.
  11. Thermodynamics: There will be 2-3 questions in the paper.
  12. Oscillations: This chapter’s weightage is 2-3 questions

WEIGHTAGE OF 12 TH CLASS PHYSICS:

  1. Waves: The weightage of this chapter is 2-3 questions. These questions are mainly formula
    based.
  2. Electric charges and fields: The weightage of this chapter is 2-1 questions. Many previous years’ questions are repeated on this topic.
  3. Electric potential and capacitance: The weightage of this chapter is 4-5 questions. In 2021 neet 4 questions were given from this chapter.

4. Current Electricity: The weightage of this chapter is 4-5 questions.

5 . Moving charges and Magnetism: The weightage of this chapter is 3-4 questions.

6. Magnetism and matter: The weightage of this chapter is 1-2 questions.

  1. Electromagnetic Induction: The weightage of this chapter is 3-2 questions.
  2. Alternating Current: The weightage of this chapter is 1-2 questions.
  3. Electromagnetic waves: This chapter had no weightage in past years’ Neet exam but the weightage increased in recent years to 2 questions
  4. Ray optics and Optical instruments: This chapter’s weightage is 3-5 questions.
  5. Wave optics: This chapter holds a weightage of 1-3 questions.
  6. Dual nature of Radiation and Matter: This chapter has a weightage of 1-3 questions but in the 2011 neet examination 8 questions were given from this chapter.
  7. Atoms: This chapter’s weightage is 1-2 questions.
  8. Nuclei: This chapter’s weightage is 1-4 questions.
  9. Semiconductor Electronics: Materials, Devices, and Circuits: The weightage of this chapter is 1-5 questions.
